El tema: Este niño va en bicicleta al colegio en busca de una educación. En nuestras comunidades rurales, esta es una imagen habitual, pero conmovedora, de un estudiante que lucha por su futuro.

Por qué decidí tomar esta fotografía porque pone de relieve la realidad de muchos niños de nuestros pueblos. Mientras que la mayoría tiene que recorrer largas distancias a pie para llegar a sus aulas, aquellos con un poco más de recursos cuentan con la bicicleta. Quería documentar este trayecto diario y el esfuerzo que supone simplemente llegar al colegio.

Mi sensación: Cuando tomé esta foto, sentí un profundo respeto por su determinación. Hay una silenciosa fortaleza en su expresión mientras avanza.

Al captarlo en movimiento, quería que el espectador sintiera el peso de la distancia que recorre y la importancia de la educación que persigue, a pesar de los sencillos medios de transporte.

The Subject: This young boy is using his bicycle to travel to school in search of an education. In our rural communities, this is a common but powerful sight of a student striving for his future.

Why: I chose to take this photograph because it highlights the reality of many children in our villages.

While most have to walk long distances on foot to reach their classrooms, those with a bit more means rely on bicycles. I wanted to document this daily journey and the effort it takes just to get to school.

My Feeling: When I took this, I felt a deep sense of respect for his determination. There is a quiet resilience in his expression as he moves forward.

By capturing him in motion, I wanted the viewer to feel the weight of the distance he covers and the importance of the education he is pursuing, despite the simple means of transport.
